I don’t have to give you bad news, you can follow it in the media every day. So I have good news for you. After the last NoMe took place in Reykjavik in 2019, we would like to hold a NoMe in 2023<\/strong> despite Covid and war and everything else that may come our way. The triumvirate of Vaho, John and I have agreed that NoMe 2023 should take place in St. Gallen from Thursday, August 31, 2023 to Sunday, September 3, 2023<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n We Swiss still believe that we are something like an island in Europe and that’s why St. Gallen seemed to us to be the safest possible option. I would be happy to organize the meeting for you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n I start planning from scratch and as we know from Mark Twain, predictions are difficult, especially about the future. In order to have an idea of how many participants I can expect, I ask you to let me know your intentions in the next few days using the link below<\/strong>. You can make my planning a lot easier with this. Thank you for your cooperation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n As a reminder: The following order of meetings can be taken from the minutes of 2019:<\/p>\n\n\n\n 2020 Tallinn: 20th to 23rd of August<\/p>\n\n\n\n 2021 St. Gallen: 19th to 22nd of August<\/p>\n\n\n\n 2022 Riga: Not fixed yet<\/p>\n\n\n\n But that’s history now and Mark Twain was right after all. We will therefore make a decision about 2024 in St. Gallen at the earliest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n I have rescheduled the meeting slightly later: Thursday, August 31, 2023 to Sunday, September 3, 2023. I know from previous announcements that August is not possible for many because they are away for vacation. With the new date and venue of St. Gallen, I naturally hope that participation will be good.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Our currency is currently very strong again. But I’ll try to keep the costs within the usual range, maybe with a small Swiss surcharge but also with Swiss Quality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The best airport for St. Gallen is Zurich. The airport is also the train station, from where trains to St. Gallen depart regularly. Driving time around 1 hour. It is an easy 5 minute walk from the train station to the hotel I am considering. The hotel has its own parking spaces that can be rented.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Traveling in Switzerland by public transport is easy. Various sights can be visited from St. Gallen, e.g. the largest waterfall in Europe (Rheinfall). That’s why I don’t plan a pre or post tour.
