Dear friends!

We hope that all of you are safely through this corona pandemia and our lives will move back to normal in not too far future.

Last weeks have brought first positive signs and infection figures are getting down in many countries. Some restrictions and bans have been removed already – though there’s a long way to go before we can travel around safely again and are allowed  to get closer than 2m to each other. It will take at least 2-3 months (but rather much longer) before all borders within Europe will be open again, but even then many social restrictions will remain.

I’ve been thinking a lot about NOME 2020 during this lockdown, and after discussing with John and Felix, I’ve made a decision to cancel it. Even if technically we can still go for it and by August all life may be much closer to what it used to be, we’ll going to miss all the spirit of NOME when forced  to keep social distance and cut many of these activities for what we are actually coming together once a year.

I would still very much like to host you in Tallinn, so I propose to skip this year and move all planned events for one year – meaning NOME 2021 in Tallinn, NOME 2022 in St Gallen and so on. We have discussed it briefly with John and Felix already and they supported this idea.

regards

Vaho Klaamann
