Dear NoMe friends,
A year has passed since covid-19 hit the World, but it’s still far from being over. Different countries are also in different situations and stages, both on pandemia and vaccination side, so it may take many months before normal life and wider scale travel will be restored. If farmacy industry could supply vaccine fast enough, there’s some hope that this will happen by this Summer.
It’s still a bit early to say if recovery from covid will happen soon enough in order to arrange NoMe 2021. I’m prepared to go on if situation will be safe enough, it would be great to meet you all after such a long time. I just need about 4 weeks in advance to get everything organized. From another hand, it does not make sense to start booking flights and hotels before we all are fully confident that we can travel and cross the borders without quarantine and restrictions.
To be pragmatic, we have just two options at present point:
To wait for about 3 more months in order to see where we are with covid and make go/no go decision by May 31st. I wouldn’t move decision point further than that.
To postpone NoMe for another year, to August 2022. Proposed dates then *Pre Tour – Aug 14th to 18th *NoMe 2022 – Aug 18th to 21st. Though, we can be flexible here.
In order to get fast feedback, I created a small poll in Doodle, just to know how many of you at all are thinking about participating NoMe 2021 in Tallinn – assuming that covid has been taken under control by then. No obligations or commitment, just indication:

Just to remind you, NoMe 2021 dates have been set as following:
Pre-Tour – August 15th (Sun) to 19th (Thu)
NoMe 2021 Tallinn – August 19th (Thu) to 22th (Sun)
Please try to give your indicative response within a week, so I can send you a short summary by this Sunday. In case the number of potential participants will be below 20, I’d rather consider option 2. Actually, you can follow poll results in real time when clicking again on given poll link.
