Organized by Mike Roberts and with the support of Karol, NoMe 2024 took place in Cork, Ireland. We were only a small group of 14, but that didn’t dampen the spirits. As usual, Friday was sightseeing day. In the morning, we took the train to Cobh, where a historian told us all about the fate of the Titanic. Back in Cork, a guide was waiting for us to tour our host city. Dinner was then held in a typical Irish pub, the Oliver Plunkett. We especially remember it for the group of women who were celebrating a friend’s bachelorette party there.
On Saturday morning, after the official NoMe Me, we went to Midleton, where we learned everything about Irish whiskey, both theoretically and practically. With our alcohol levels raised, we travelled back to Cork for the NoMe dinner and the exchange of gifts. After the farewell break on Sunday morning, most of us returned home with new experiences and the certainty of having experienced another great NoMe. Many thanks to Mike (The Englishman this time not in New York) and Karol for organizing the event.
